Dr. Galvin is a physician specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR), a subspecialty in Internal Medicine. She obtained a Sports Medicine subspecialty with the American Board of PMR and Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine, providing care to adult and pediatric patients.
Dr. Galvin’s clinical expertise includes Platelet Rich Plasma and viscosupplementation (lubricant) injections, osteoarthritis and joint disease, orthotics, general musculoskeletal/sports medicine injuries (ie. knees and hips, foot and ankle, shoulders, elbows, wrists and hands etc.) and electromyography (EMG).
Dr. Galvin has served as a Team Physican for Canada’s National Womens’s Hockey Team (2006-2010), Canadian Amputee Hockey Team attending World Championships and Olympic competitions. She continues to work as a Team Physician with the University of Guelph Varsity Football and Hockey teams, as well as providing coverage for LPGA and triathlon events.
