My name is Gwen. I graduated from CCMH (Canadian College Massage therapy and Hydrotherapy) Cambridge Campus. I graduated with an overall average mark above 90 and received the Honour Roll Certificate from CCMH. During my time at school, I treated many different athletes including: runners, cyclers, soccer players and volleyball players. Due to my work with the athletes, I gained a Sports Certificate form the outreach program of CCMH. Right after graduation, I passed the board exams from CMTO and become a member of the CMTO.
I also have taken some courses for my continuing education at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy School. Topics of these courses include: myofascial release, muscle energy, strain-counterstrain, positional release, and oscillation techniques, all of which are applied to the spine, cervical, lumbosacral and pelvic areas. As a result of what I have learned, during my massage treatment I often provide more myofascial release and joint mobilization techniques to help my patents reduce pain and increase flexibility.
